ABOUT
Carlos is a Cultural Diplomacy Advisor, Project Director, and Composer-Performer with over 10 years of experience at the intersection of arts, culture, and international relations, dedicated to advancing global cultural diplomacy. He has led numerous projects across international universities, including Harvard University & the American Repertory Theater, and The New School, New York, collaborating with global teams to bring unique cultural narratives to life. As a two-time recipient of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation award, four-time winner AIE Scholarship, Fulbright Spain Ministry of CultureCommittee, he specializes in leading and shaping cultural initiatives through project direction, strategic planning, and diplomatic engagement, fostering meaningful global connections and enduring emotional impact. His experience in creative direction and storytelling spans across international institutions, embassies, and leading cultural and diplomatic organizations such as Opera for Peace, UNESCO – “Alicia Alonso” Ballet Foundation, Spain Arts & Culture, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, including large-scale immersive events, cultural diplomacy initiatives, and cross-border collaborations.
His portfolio also includes corporate collaborations through CSR frameworks, such as with BNL–BNP Paribas and the IFC–World Bank Group. With a passion for cultural diplomacy, I continue to work at the intersection of the arts and global partnerships, helping to bridge cultural gaps and elevate the voices of artists worldwide.
