Carlos Cippelletti will perform a unique piano solo concert specially dedicated to the Muse Salentine Festival.

Muse Salentine is a non-profit cultural association based in Alessano (Lecce). It organizes high quality musical and cultural events to highlight some of the most beautiful or historically interesting places in the Salento peninsula (Puglia).

Muse Salentine each year produces a series of concerts of classical music, mainly in the summer, and in the near future, master classes and summer residences for musicians and painters. We deliberately keep the events small and informal, to create a strong link between the artists and the audience.

We invite internationally renowned artists but also outstanding young talents to be discovered and we bring very diversified repertoires to acquaint the public with new works and styles.

The performances are held in a variety of locations: churches, courtyards of ancient palaces and public squares. Each time the aim is to adapt the performance to the magic of a particular place.

Repertoire dedicated to my father Recaredo Pascual:

  1. La comparsa (Ernesto Lecuona)
Latin jazz arrangement from classical piece composed by legendary cuban pianist and composer Ernesto Lecuona. Although originally a song, innumerable versions of it have been made, starting with Lecuona’s own version for piano solo.
  1. Son de la loma (Miguel Matamoros)
Original arrangement of traditional cuban son. Miguel Matamoros is known for being the author of popular songs such as the bolero-son Lágrimas Negras or the bolero-montuno Son de la Loma that he composed with the Trío Matamoros.
  1. Armando’s Rhumba (Chick Corea)
Homage to Armando Anthony “Chick” Corea
  1. Cuba Linda (Virgilio Marti – Original Arrangement)
Original arrangement for piano solo of the traditional Cuban theme in guaguancó rhythm entitled “Cuba linda”.
  1. Mambo Influenciado (Chucho Valdés)
Piano solo arrangement of the composition of the legendary Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés.
  1. Quizás Quizás Quizás (Osvaldo Farrés)
Piano solo arrangement dedicated to my mentor and outstanding cuban pianist Pepe Rivero.
  1. Aite (Carlos Cippelletti)
Original composition from Carlos Cippelletti’s first album entitled HYBRID/C which will be released the 24th of September with OutHere Music.
Performance dedicated to OutHere Music and Charles Adriaenssen.

Dedicated to the public to celebrate our reunion on stage.
